this girl got her ticket to BEALE STREET MUSIC FEST! so pumped. i went last year and spent the weekend with former students/turned great friends -- kadeem (who lives in memphis) and lamar who flew in for the epic weekend. it was so casual, fun and CHEAP - 3 day ticket cost me like 95 bucks -- heck yes! peep the line up for this year, i absolutely LOVE the randomness!
i am most excited for sheryl (LOVE HER), the wallflowers, the joy formidable, the smashing pumpkins and edward sharpe et al. -- and i need new new bands so a beale street spotify playlist is in the works.
last year we got to rock out to Florence + the machine, my morning jacket, the head and the heart, pitbull, cold war kids, michael franti, grace potter, childish gambino, bush and more.
