hey yall welcome to Tail Wagging Tuesday hosted by Megan and myself! Just a spot to post all of your favorite (or not so favorite) canine stories, tips and tricks!
just to start (and of course provide you with my fav pic this week of bodie) - its starting to get a little chilly around these parts. so chilly that bodie is now fully utilizing pillow AND blanket (yes, he is a diva) -- but seriously, how cuuuute!

yes, this means i make homemade dog treats. i rarely purchase any from the store (if any at all). i have lots of fun recipes myself, but what I'd like to share today is this fab website DogTreatKitchen.com.
This site has lots of fun recipes and other helpful info. You can also subscribe to the Dog Treat Mixing Bowl Newletter - which is my favorite part! Each month I get a newsletter with a fun new treat recipe to try, that usually aligns with the season, like this months Triple Apple Dog Cake! (haven't tried this out yet but its on the list!)
Few things to note about this site, or any other dog treat site (or book with recipes). They all are trying to provide fun new items for your pets, but make sure you do your own research. Example: baking soda. I've read tons of dog treat recipes that call for using it -- but I've also read its not good for your dog. In this case I just leave it out (this isn't a wedding cake people.. the treats don't haven't rise, come on now). I encourage you to do more research yourself when it comes to ingredients - all else fails, before using a question able ingredient, ASK YOUR VET!!! In the upcoming weeks look out for recipes that Bodie loves the most! OH and don't for get to link up!
