so i've been looking for something -- a goal, a plan, a new hobby. i don't know, something to fill my time that is worth talking about. i know -- i must be the most interesting person right? yea, i really haven't been recently. i don't feel like i have anything of relevance/interest to talk about with strangers.
enter: pinterest...
no, i'm not going to bake or craft my way through the website (that would make me fat and/or broke -- ain't no body time for either of those!!) it showed me a pin that has inspired a new goal...
in going through the list (briefly) - i see quite a few that i'm really excited to read (that usually doesn't happen from many of the book lists i've perused in the past). i've only read one book on the list so far, he's just not that into you, but lets be honest... what 20s something female HASN'T read that book (or at least seen the movie??!)
did i mention i turn 29 this year (August 20th)?.. so that means that i have 441 days (thank you countdown+lite app) until i turn 30 (vom).... that's a lot of books. because i have some commitments (crochet the largest baby blanket ever (long story) and read an additional book for the APSU 1000 class this fall (well the two time consuming things at this moment) - plus, ya know.. LIFE things that happen) i'm going to give myself a grace period until December 31, 2014.
i'm going to try to chronicle my journey here, on my lovely blog (wow, i know... actually committing to the blog -- MIND BLOWING!) don't expect anything to crazy now -- i mean i'm going to have to spend my time READING, not blogging. but hopefully i'll get down at least the basics.
ironically enough, i'm actually currently reading a book on the list! WILD: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail by Cheryl Strayed -- Alex recommended the book to me and i started it about a week ago or so (though i haven't gotten very far, this dang crochet project is killin' me!). i'll drop my verdict on y'all once i'm finished!
so thats it... a new goal... something to work towards. i like it. i'm excited. i hope my library card is ready!
